I would wait a bit.
While you live in the cone of possibility of Ike’s path, most computer models show Ike grazing Cuba and then heading into the Gulf of Mexico.
If you lived in the Keys, I would say yes, but wait a day or two to get a clearer picture of where Ike’s heading.

Not likely that Ike will hit Florida directly, but keep an eye on it. Preparations are always a good idea.

–ready.gov and the Red Cross
–other Ike-related stuff.
