Where can I buy Storm/Hurricane Shutters?

I am new in Florida, and have no experience in suriving a hurricane. - Ernesto How much are they, and do they fix to every window? Are window sizes all the same? Or is it customized?

Here is a good article on it. It compares different types and gives prices.:
You should be able to find a local company that will install them in the yellow pages

Lewinski’s Storm and Hurricane Shutter store on 4th an maine are worth looking at…. They have a two for one deal at the moment.
What amuses me most is your statement that you have no experience in surviving hurricanes… LOL.. you realise this implies you have not survived a hurrican, I.e. you are dead… LOL
I strongly suggest you move to California where they have only earthquakes and you will not need to worry your head about this question… LOL

I think it’s too late to prepare for this one… This time you need to go buy plywood. Then ask yourself: “Are all the windows in my new house the same size?” Once you cut the plywood to fit the window openings, you can mark and save them for the next storm. I suppose you could also ask yourself why you moved to Florida…
